Amazon replaces Fire tablets with Android-based Alexa Tablet lineup
Amazon introduced three Alexa Tablets with Android, Google Play access and built-in Alexa+, replacing the Fire tablet branding. Preorders opened October 8 and shipping is scheduled to begin October 14; prices start at $229.99. A separate account says the new lineup costs more than the budget Fire devices it replaces.
