Land ahoy: leaving the Sea of Nodes
V8 is replacing the Sea of Nodes intermediate representation in its Turbofan compiler backend with Turboshaft, a more traditional Control-Flow Graph representation. The JavaScript backend now uses Turboshaft, following work that began almost three years before the report.
