Node.js 26.1.0 adds an experimental node:ffi module for loading dynamic libraries and calling native symbols from JavaScript. The API requires the --experimental-ffi flag and, with the Permission Model enabled, --allow-ffi; invalid pointers or signatures can crash the process or corrupt memory.
