Amazon replaces Fire tablet brand with Android-based Alexa Tablets and Google Play access
Amazon has introduced a three-model Alexa Tablet lineup, replacing its Fire tablet branding after 15 years. The tablets run Android and offer Google Play access; the range includes the 12 Pro, 11 and 8, with kids’ versions also available. One report says shipments begin October 14 and the 12 Pro costs $499.
